Elegant guest rooms at Anantara Peace Haven Tangalle combine contemporary and Asian influences. Most feature an ocean view and a scattering of opulent villas on the property come with private pools, butlers and other luxurious facilities.
Cuisine at the resort is provided by a selection of no fewer than six restaurants each offering something a little different. From delightful high teas and pool-side snacks, to cliff-side fine dining and private dinners in a romantic, wine cellar setting.
At the heart of the hotel is a grand, two-tiered swimming pool offering views of the palm-fringed beach. The spa features a multitude of treatment rooms and indulgent signature therapies. An enchanting yoga pavilion has a programme of regular yoga classes.

This relaxed al fresco venue offers low-key dining by the swimming pool is a favourite daytime attraction. The menu includes delicious appetisers such as coconut shrimps, a vibrant array of salads, plus the catch of the day, wraps, pizzas and pastas.

A wine cellar restaurant for special occasions, fine dining and carefully paired wines. A range of Spanish and Sri Lankan tapas create a feeling of originality. The ultimate in privacy and seclusion, this is also the perfect venue for foodies and wine connoisseurs.

The spa offers four single and four double treatment rooms, as well as Ayurvedic therapy rooms. The spa menu features signature treatments and Ayurvedic therapies administered by a specialist Ayurvedic doctor. There are other specialists on the spa treatment team too, including a sleep guru. The on-site yoga pavilion is a firm favourite with a regular schedule of yoga classes. The well-equipped gym has personal trainers to lead one-to-one sessions. It’s possible to learn the basics of surfing and paddleboarding at the resort, and surf and paddleboarding excursions are available for the more experienced. On-site nature gurus lead scheduled walks on the property to explore ecosystems and conservation efforts. There are tennis and badminton courts, and bicycles to hire. A cookery school helps guests learn all about Sri Lankan cooking.
