Built on the site of an old sugar cane mill and overlooking the Atlantic, the impressive Saccharum is a contemporary design hotel offering high quality service and comfort in scenic surroundings in Calheta.

The Calhau Beach Club is a lounge space and atmospheric spot for relaxing right on the beach in front of the Saccharum. It's perfect for viewing the sunset with a cocktail in hand. The Calhau Beach Club has a new tropical décor, and the tastes of Latin America, Asia and South Africa inform the menus.
The Calhau Beach Club is open daily between 10:30 am and 9:30 pm. There's DJ entertainment at the weekends.
