Inara Camp, Agafay Desert

Spend a few nights under the stars in the magical and cinematic setting of the Agafay Desert. At the foot of the Atlas Mountains and with climatic conditions similar to those of the Sahara, this arid and rocky mineral desert is an hour's drive to the south west of Marrakech. Inara Camp is a great way to experience the tranquillity and unique lunar landscape of the Agafay. During spring the landscape is dotted with wheat and splashes of wildflowers. In the heat of summer and autumn the desert really takes over.

Inara Camp, in the desert setting of Agafay, offers a very welcoming, away from it all experience. Discarded wood and iron objects, found in the locale, have been upcycled and used in the decoration. Rocks and pebbles are also present in a theme which hints at exploration, and in shades which suggest the desert. Choose between cosy, lodge-style discovery tents, or more spacious emotion tents and Inara suites which offer private terrace, a small sitting area, air cooler in the summer and a wood burner in winter. All tents have private en suite facilities and hot water. Bordered by sand and a sun deck, the bijou, heated, lagoon style pool is a lovely spot for cooling off and watching the infinite views over the canyon.

Les Terraces d'Agafay offers tented dining, although dinner may also be served in the communal living space of the camp with campfire and flickering candles, set beneath the bright canopy of a starlit desert sky.
