Surrounded by olive groves and lush vineyards in the small town of Minervino di Lecce, Palazzo Ducale Venturi occupies a former 16th century fortress and offers peaceful surroundings and impeccable service. Behind its stone façade the interior has been beautifully renovated with careful attention paid to its historic and cultural value and the restored medieval architecture has been thoughtfully complemented by elegant period furnishings and modern luxuries.
Individually designed and simply beautiful the 13 guest rooms and suites feature antique furnishings and some are enriched by original artwork. Breakfast is served buffet style and a fixed menu of local cuisine is available in the evenings.
The garden houses an outdoor saltwater swimming pool and a small poolside bar, whilst a secluded garden with citrus trees is ideal for quiet moments. The vaulted spa is a haven of tranquillity and features an underground heated pool converted from an antique oil mill. The sea is a 15 minute drive, with Otranto 10km away.
The secluded bay of Porto Badisco is fifteen minutes by car. This small cove with its sheltered waters is great for snorkelling and swimming.
