Carrubba di Riposto forms part of the Lemon Riviera, a long stretch of eastern Sicily's coast dotted with numerous attractive villages looking out to sea, amongst the many lemon plantations which slope down from Mount Etna to the coast. Nearby attractions include Radicepura Horticultural Park with its superb botanical gardens, park and lodge. This is home to more than 3000 botanical species that are subdivided into 7000 varieties, a biodiversity which is the result of the what is widely considered to be a unique Sicilian subtropical climate. Also of note are the vineyards of Barone di Villagrade, located in a small village on the east side of Mount Etna, at an altitude of 700m above sea level. The vineyards and estate, owned by the same family since 1727, cascade into a natural amphitheatre overlooking the coast of Taormina and eastern Sicily.
