Ashleigh Raymond, Regional Sales Manager for Classic Collection, answers a few questions about her recent visit with agent partners to Mangia's Brucoli Resort, Sicily.

  • How long was the transfer from the airport?

It’s approximately 45 minutes to Catania Airport.

  • Your top tip? What surprised you about the hotel the most?

Behind the adults only area, there is a secluded spot. Head down there with a glass of Mount Etna wine to watch the sun as it sets behind Mount Etna.

  • How many restaurants did the hotel have and which was your favourite?

There are no fewer than five amazing restaurants to choose from. The main buffet restaurant impresses with local, seasonal ingredients, but my favourite was the gorgeous Donna Floriana Bistrot with freshly caught seafood.

  • Who would you say the hotel is the most suited to?

The hotel offers an array of facilities from tranquil moments of yoga, an amazing swimming pool and a family area. There’s also a theatre and you can take some stunning walks around the beautiful, blossom-filled gardens.

  • What was the best feature about your room?
  • The rooms were elegant and modern. The huge soft bed was stand-out comfortable.

  • What was the highlight of your trip?

The highlight of the trip for me was watching the surreal setting sun behind the beautiful Mount Etna.

  • What activities /excursions are on offer? Did you have a favourite?

A trip to Syracuse is a must. Just a short drive away this stunning UNESCO-listed city, rich in Greek and Roman history and culture, is famous for its architecture and amphitheatre.

  •  What are the top 3 selling points of this hotel?

Views, cuisine and Sicilian hospitality.
